I found this video clip on Youtube and thought it was very catchy. It will help you to remember how to form the Perfect Tense. Like marmite, you'll love it or loathe it!!
9fr1 have been learning how to talk about past events using the Perfect Tense. As it was Halloween last week, they were given the task of reading a story then writing their own version in pairs or small groups. I think their stories are fantastic, and show not only are they a creative bunch, but that they are also getting to grips with the Perfect Tense.
8fr1 recently learnt to say what there is or isn't in a town. To see what they could remember, they had to create an online book. You can view some of them below. What do you think? What did they do well? What could they do to improve their French?

On Thursday 29th September Chiltern Edge played host to the annual Eurovision@Chiltern Edge competition. Children from six local primary schools competed to win the coveted award. After an amusing warm up, each school took to the stage. Standards were extremely high and the competition was fierce. After a quick break whilst the judges made their decision, the results were announced. Emmer Green were narrowly pipped to the post by the winners ....... Kidmore End. Congratulations to all those who took part - we at Chiltern Edge were very impressed.
Later the same day, Year 7 classes competed against each other. They all performed a song written by themselves, based on a Take Ten song. The winners were 7Q.
A big thanks to Mrs Crawshaw, who organised the day, and to the all the judges.

The "Language Perfect World Championships" starts on Friday 9th September and runs until 16th September. Some of you may remember it from last year, when we had lots of successful entrants. This year, we have 50 free places, so if you would like to enter you need to see Miss Ghani as soon as possible and she will enter you. Can you beat everyone else in the school, in the country or even in the world??
Prizes include laptops, Ipods, Itunes vouchers, certificates and more!!!!
Please take a look at the fantastic work produced by my new French group 71fr3. I hope you're as impressed as I am by the standard of their work. Please leave a comment and let us know what you think.
